MODE IPTV on MAG Setup Guide

Why Use a MAG Box for IPTV?

MAG set-top boxes (such as the MAG 250, 322, 420, 520, and 524) are purpose-built hardware designed specifically for streaming IPTV. Unlike Android or FireStick devices where you must download third-party apps, MAG boxes have the streaming portal software built directly into the operating system.

Zero App Installs

No need to search for APKs or sideload apps. The Stalker/Ministra middleware is built directly into the box.

📺

Cable-Like Experience

The interface acts exactly like a traditional cable box, complete with an incredibly fast TV Guide (EPG).

🎮

Dedicated Remote

Navigate channels, record, and pause seamlessly using the included hardware remote control.

🔒

Ultimate Stability

Because they only run one core streaming application, MAG boxes are highly immune to crashing or buffering.

What You Need Before You Start

Setting up a MAG device relies on linking the hardware to our servers. Ensure you have the following ready:

A MAG Set-Top Box — Any Infomir model (MAG 322, 420, 520, 524, etc.).
Your Device’s MAC Address — This is a unique 12-character code (usually starting with 00:1A:79…).
The MODE IPTV Portal URL — Sent to your email upon purchasing a subscription.
ℹ️

Crucial Step: Account Activation

With MAG devices, you cannot just enter a username and password. You must provide your MAC address to MODE IPTV Support during or after checkout so we can manually authorize your hardware on our servers.

3

Step 1: Find Your MAC Address

Before doing anything on your TV, we need to know the unique identifier of your box.

🔎

Check the Bottom of the Box

Flip your physical MAG device upside down. You will see a sticker with a barcode. Look for the line that says MAC: 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Write this down.

📧

Send it to MODE IPTV

If you haven’t already, send this MAC address to the MODE IPTV support team (or enter it in the checkout notes) so we can activate your line on our end.

Step 2: Access MAG Settings

Once we confirm your MAC is activated, it is time to configure the software on your TV.

⚙️

Open System Settings

Turn on your MAG box. Once it reaches the main blue/black screen, navigate to Settings using your remote, then click on System Settings.

📂

Navigate to Servers

Scroll down the list and select Servers.

🌐

Open Portals Menu

Inside the Servers menu, click on Portals. This is where you will tell the box where to download your live TV.

5

Step 3: Enter Your MODE IPTV Portal URL

You must carefully type the exact server address using the on-screen keyboard.

⌨️

Set Portal Name

In the Portal 1 Name field, press the “KB” (keyboard) button on your remote. Type MODE IPTV and press OK.

🔗

Enter Portal URL

In the Portal 1 URL field, invoke the keyboard again. Very carefully type the exact URL provided to you in your MODE IPTV welcome email (e.g., http://server.url:port/c/).

💾

Save & Reboot

Press the OK button on your remote to save. Press the Exit / Home button several times until you are asked to reboot or reload the portal. Select Restart Portal.

💡

Loading…

After rebooting, you should see a yellow loading bar progressing across your screen. Once it finishes, the main MODE IPTV TV interface will appear. You are ready to stream!

Troubleshooting MAG Setup Issues

❌ “Page Loading Error”
Fix: This is the most common error. It means your MAC Address has not been activated on our side yet, OR you typed the Portal URL incorrectly. Verify the spelling and contact our support team.
❌ “Your STB is Blocked”
Fix: Contact MODE IPTV support. This message appears if your subscription has expired or if the MAC address provided belongs to another active account in our database.
❌ Channels are Freezing
Fix: MAG boxes prefer wired connections. Try plugging an Ethernet cable directly from your router to the back of your MAG box instead of using Wi-Fi.
❌ Authentication Failed
Fix: Do not put a trailing slash (/) at the very end of your portal URL if it wasn’t provided, or conversely, ensure the `/c/` is included if specified in your email instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use an M3U Playlist instead of a Portal URL on MAG? +
While some MAG boxes technically support uploading an M3U file via USB, it ruins the experience. The entire point of a MAG box is to use the built-in Stalker Portal. You should always use the Portal URL and MAC address method.
Do I need a VPN for my MAG Box? +
If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) blocks IPTV streams, you will need a VPN. You can configure a VPN directly inside your home router, which will automatically cover your MAG box.
Can I move my MAG subscription to an Android app later? +
Usually, no. Because MAG subscriptions are strictly bound to the physical hardware MAC address, you cannot simply log into an app like Smarters with the same details. You would need to request a line conversion from MODE IPTV Support.
