How to Set Up IPTV on MAG Devices
Transform your MAG Set-Top Box into a premium TV experience. Follow our step-by-step guide to perfectly configure your Portal URL using your MAC Address.
Get Started with MODE IPTV →Why Use a MAG Box for IPTV?
MAG set-top boxes (such as the MAG 250, 322, 420, 520, and 524) are purpose-built hardware designed specifically for streaming IPTV. Unlike Android or FireStick devices where you must download third-party apps, MAG boxes have the streaming portal software built directly into the operating system.
Zero App Installs
No need to search for APKs or sideload apps. The Stalker/Ministra middleware is built directly into the box.
Cable-Like Experience
The interface acts exactly like a traditional cable box, complete with an incredibly fast TV Guide (EPG).
Dedicated Remote
Navigate channels, record, and pause seamlessly using the included hardware remote control.
Ultimate Stability
Because they only run one core streaming application, MAG boxes are highly immune to crashing or buffering.
What You Need Before You Start
Setting up a MAG device relies on linking the hardware to our servers. Ensure you have the following ready:
Crucial Step: Account Activation
With MAG devices, you cannot just enter a username and password. You must provide your MAC address to MODE IPTV Support during or after checkout so we can manually authorize your hardware on our servers.
Step 1: Find Your MAC Address
Before doing anything on your TV, we need to know the unique identifier of your box.
Check the Bottom of the Box
Flip your physical MAG device upside down. You will see a sticker with a barcode. Look for the line that says MAC: 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Write this down.
Send it to MODE IPTV
If you haven’t already, send this MAC address to the MODE IPTV support team (or enter it in the checkout notes) so we can activate your line on our end.
Step 2: Access MAG Settings
Once we confirm your MAC is activated, it is time to configure the software on your TV.
Open System Settings
Turn on your MAG box. Once it reaches the main blue/black screen, navigate to Settings using your remote, then click on System Settings.
Navigate to Servers
Scroll down the list and select Servers.
Open Portals Menu
Inside the Servers menu, click on Portals. This is where you will tell the box where to download your live TV.
Step 3: Enter Your MODE IPTV Portal URL
You must carefully type the exact server address using the on-screen keyboard.
Set Portal Name
In the Portal 1 Name field, press the “KB” (keyboard) button on your remote. Type MODE IPTV and press OK.
Enter Portal URL
In the Portal 1 URL field, invoke the keyboard again. Very carefully type the exact URL provided to you in your MODE IPTV welcome email (e.g., http://server.url:port/c/).
Save & Reboot
Press the OK button on your remote to save. Press the Exit / Home button several times until you are asked to reboot or reload the portal. Select Restart Portal.
Loading…
After rebooting, you should see a yellow loading bar progressing across your screen. Once it finishes, the main MODE IPTV TV interface will appear. You are ready to stream!
